Missing pieces of the bible?

Post by Alala Kuran on Sun Apr 24, 2011 1:13 pm

White Len : Okay, I know a few of you who don't have interest in
this are around, but for those of you who do care, I have a complaint
about how I've noticed something...

I have seen quite a lot of things in a bible look rather missing, as
if the translator who wrote the english versions have intentionally
left things out of them. Some books look like a few things were gone
while others I saw had huge gaps which visibly hide things, but for
the one which really steams me is in one certain point somewhere
in almost all the bibles I have checked and read, one chapter has
a ellipsis and unfinished, unnamed nation. I checked more than one
book and still no result! This is rather bugging me, why did they
leave that one name out of a LOT of the scriptures?

Are they actually trying to hide something?! If I find it again, I'll
give the verse number directly and question about this... but it
looked rather intentionally left blank as if someone didn't want
that part to get out to the public. This explains why there's a lot
of people questioning religion. Suspect

Mind you, the bible is a collection of testaments made over the ages. There may be a genuine reason for those sections being left out.

  • The parts recovered were too damaged to read therefore could not be translated.

  • The section(s) in question may have been difficult to translate and express in modern language.

  • The parts may be lost or destroyed.

  • I may have traveled back in time and destroyed them as they mention something embarrassing that one of my past lives may have done.

As well as your reason:

  • Translators/Christians have discovered a secret that would shake the foundations of their belief and have people questioning God's existence or his rules of morality.

  • There may be parts that contradict or question earlier topics in the bible, so for arguments sake they get left out as to avoid heated debates over the topic.

I like these sorts of talks. It gets me thinking.

White Len : Lol, well glad it helps. It was due to the current event I'm in at
the moment hence I bought this topic up. Of course I was always wondering
what was up with that, but now I had to say something about it. It's the last
of my time off, but overtime I'm going to check through at least one book
and pinpoint out what I meant.

Though I still can never get over that part in Revelation-16 (V:17) :
"The seventh angel appears, poured out his bowl into the air. Then a loud
voice came from the temple throne saying 'It's over!'" Oh I just love
that part! Razz

I prefer my bible with 'Thee' and 'thou'. It makes me feel special.
